The answer is agriculture, irrigation is necessary for agriculture especially for rice crops. Irrigation system provides and distributes water on crops for them to grow since they cannot survive well on dry soil. To be able tl supply water for the crops especially in summer season, a water source is necessary, thus the irrigation system.
